EU Establishes Expert Support for AI Act Enforcement

The European Commission has appointed a Scientific Panel and an Advisory Forum to support enforcement of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Act.

Scientific Panel: 60 World-Leading Experts

The Scientific Panel brings together 60 world-leading independent experts with experience in frontier AI, engineering, technical auditing, industry and societal impact.

The panel will focus on general-purpose AI (GPAI) models and systems, systemic risks, model classification, evaluation methodologies and cross-border market surveillance.

Advisory Forum: Broad Stakeholder Representation

The Advisory Forum members come from academia, civil society and industry, including small and medium-sized enterprises and startups.

Key European Union agencies with permanent roles in the Advisory Forum include the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights, the EU Agency for Cybersecurity ENISA, and standardisation bodies.


SoftBank Commits 1 GW Data Center Campus in Northern France

A joint venture majority-owned by SoftBank Group and formed with Sesterce was selected to develop and operate a 1 GW AI data center campus in Bosquel, France.

The Bosquel data center campus forms a key part of SoftBank Group’s broader 5 GW commitment announced as part of the 2026 Choose France summit.

Strategic Location in Hauts-de-France

Bosquel is located in the Hauts-de-France region and is positioned near Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, London and Frankfurt.

Economic and Community Impact

The Bosquel campus will create 400 long-term skilled roles in data center operations, energy systems, security, maintenance, and advanced infrastructure management once operational.

The joint venture plans to establish a €10 million endowment fund jointly managed with the Hauts-de-France region to promote the use of AI in local businesses, schools, universities and community organizations.

Campus Design and Community Integration

The Bosquel campus plan was designed by architecture firm Patriarche and includes a community center serving as a meeting space for residents, local businesses, students, entrepreneurs and public stakeholders.
